How do I order a Made to Measure or Bespoke frame?
Made to Measure — any Cubitts frame remade to your own measurements — is ordered in store. You don't need to book: visit one of our stores and the team will take your measurements and talk you through the colours. Bespoke — a completely new frame des
Will I have to pay a deposit?
We take full payment at the beginning for Bespoke, and a deposit of £200 for Bespoke+.
How long will my Made to Measure or Bespoke frame take?
Made to Measure frames take around 75 days from order to shipping — they are made to order in our own workshop, not taken from a shelf. Bespoke projects vary with the design. We give you an estimated timeline once we understand what you have in mind.
Can I refund my bespoke?
Due to the custom nature of Bespoke, we are unable to offer refunds. However, if your frame does not fit correctly as a result of our measurements, we will be happy to remake the frames until the fit is perfect.
Can you make spectacles in metal?
Yes — our ready-to-wear range includes stainless steel and titanium frames alongside acetate. Our Made to Measure and Bespoke services, made in our own workshop, work in acetate and horn only.
How much does a Made to Measure or Bespoke frame cost?
Our Made to Measure service costs £375. That includes the frame, made to your own measurements in your choice of over 300 acetate colours, standard index single vision ZEISS lenses, a cleaning cloth and an aluminium case. Bespoke — an entirely new fr
What colours do you have available?
We have over 300 acetate colours and patterns available through our Made to Measure service. Bespoke customers can also choose from our archive acetates, held at our workshop in King's Cross, London.
What if my frame doesn’t fit perfectly?
We’re confident that your frame will fit you perfectly on the first try. If you find your frame does not fit as expected as a result of our measurements, we will be happy to provide a remake with revised measurements at no additional cost.
Can I have my frame made in horn?
Yes. Horn is available for Made to Measure and Bespoke frames, as a £200 supplement, and can be ordered at our St James's and Hampstead stores.
